NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from the year before.

Before the outbreak of COVID-19 there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this shift and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months or even years.
Canada is in the process, as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August saw 6,600.

We're close to reaching our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more at home when they travel abroad.
Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019, 969,600 of which originated from the United States. Since May, when the country reopened to all travelers, regardless of their vaccination status over 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
