NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of visitors from America. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% growth over 2019.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to witness a second increase in tourism Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of 2019," he stated. "The United States is our most important market for Israel's inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. We are thrilled to see this positive change, and we anticipate it to continue for many months and years."
Canada is on track to beat Israel's tourism arrivals by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 tourists in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since its official reopening for all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May Israel has received more than 600,400 US travelers.
